Very good as an introduction to philosophy

This is a great course for anyone who wants an excellent, essentialized presentation of the history of philosophy. It helps that Professor Adamson is a highly engaging speaker. By that, I mean he explains well the context of the philosopher he is discussing, on top of giving clear explanations of the philosophers ideas, and does both while bringing in examples that a listener today can understand. I come away from each podcast informed, excited about philosophy, and eager to hear the next one. If you knew, or had an inkling, that philosophy is important, but could not find the time to read the corpus, this is the podcast series to listen to.

Amazing task

Peter Adamson has set for himself the astounding goal of covering western philosophy without any gaps. If completed, this should provide several years of interesting and educational podcasts. If and when it is completed it will stand as an important, historic document. It is off to a great start. I've already learned things that two years of philosophy in college didn't bother to cover. Any fan of the subject of philosophy should check this one out.

Great Project

This is a daunting task professor Adamson has choosen, but a valuable one. He touches on important issues of these thinkers without being so technical that only philosophers can understand, yet explores those issues deep enough that everyone can learn from the podcasts.

A thoroughly enjoyable learning experience!
