#LectioCast aims to get your sermon/service prep jumpstarted by homing in on crucial issues and themes in the passages and talking through possible opportunities and issues in preaching the various texts. We’ll aim for Lectionary commentary that is sharp and practical, maybe seasoned with a pinch of snark.

Lectiocast: my weekly LectioCURE

This podcast inspires me every week (dare I say... more so than my own highly regarded pastor). It's thoughtful, solid exegesis, sensitive, and, yes, even funny! I find myself preparing for it, listening to episodes more than once to get the full depth and richness of the lectionary being discussed, and feeling challenged by it!

Academic and Insightful Conversation

Whether preaching, teaching, or just wanting to learn, this podcast provides an insightful and academic conversation around the Common Lectionary texts for the coming Sunday. It’s helpful and fun. Glad it’s out there as a resource for preachers and teachers.

If there is one podcast you need to subscribe to in order to order your loves towards the God revealed in Jesus Christ and spoken of my the prophets its “This American L…” I mean… “the Home-brewed Christianity LectioCast.” The Good Doctor J Daniel Kirk lays down the Bible knowledge in a fully reflexive way, while Homebrewed hosts Tripp Fuller and Bo Daddy Sanders bring the theological and homiletical goodness.

This podcast has seriously deepened my awareness of scripture, the liturgical calendar, the task of preaching, and my ability to sense a Duke or Claremont education.

Only suggestion: More Mountain Goats Dr. Kirk.
