AFTERBUZZ TV is an online broadcast network, founded by E! host Maria Menounos and producer Keven Undergaro, designated to TV discussion and after-show content in webcast and podcast form. When fans finish watching their favorite shows, they can go online to watch or listen to an aftershow that features hosts breaking down everything they viewed, taking calls from fans and interviewing guests. The Homeland AfterBuzz TV AfterShow recaps, reviews and discusses episodes of Showtime's Homeland. Homeland is an American political thriller television series that stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer with bipolar disorder, and Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody, a United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper. Mathison had come to believe that Brody, who was held captive by al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war, was "turned" by the enemy and poses a threat to the United States.

So much potential

I was so excited to listen to this podcast, since I thoroughly enjoy Afterbuzz's many other shows. Unfortunately, this one is horrible. There is so much potential...the hosts speak, at times, intelligently...with keen observations and thoughtful discussion points.

The problem lies with the hosts talking over each other, the incessant giggling and adolescent jokes, the emphasis on the sexiness of the characters (rather than their story lines), and the remarks that are not relevant to such a brilliant show!!

This podcast could be a 5 star one if they would center their discussions on the reasons why this is an Emmy award winning show. Enough of the childish comments and antics.

Great Podcast

This is one of my very favorite podcasts on Afterbuzz, especially since the show is so intense and no one else I know watches it. Listening to everyone's thoughts and takes on things really gives the show even more layers than what I see when I watch it.

All the hosts are great and have really intelligent thought provoking arguments, sometimes on opposite sides of things and I really enjoy listening to that.

There's only one thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star rating and I'd say it happens once every episode or every other episode. When the differing opinions emerge the hosts tend to try to convince each other way too much. Instead of just making the point and agreeing to disagree you try to keep making the argument. In one episode, I think it was two weeks ago I eventually just had to fast forward the podcast a few minutes so I could pick up back on a new discussion because the "argument" (although I hate calling it that) over Jessica's motivations just went on too long.

Other than that this is one fantastic podcast and it makes my Mondays much nicer!!

Congrats to the Homeland cast and crew on a 3rd season and I hope you all will continue to make this great aftershow.

Coulda been a contender

This podcast has the potential to be really good. I enjoy the insightful comments. I do not enjoy the way the hosts speak over one another. I do not enjoy the really irrelevent childish comments that constantly interrupt whoever is speaking. Perhaps there are just too many hosts? Roth is seriously good and sticks to the topic. The other three hosts seem to just hang in the background spouting out whatever pops into their heads and spend a lot of time giggling.
