A Friend to Me

Shannon's story's have been a friend to me in a time in my life where I am missing that comfort to my soul. Sometimes I listen to his podcasts all day.

it’s a great show, when it wants to be

This show can be amazing. If you haven’t already, listen to episode #21 Drano or #58 Police. Having said that, here is why I didn’t give it 5 stars: I find the podcast to be too “bro-ey.” Shannon Cason’s narration is certainly deft in many ways, but the writing makes a point to note the attractiveness of most women in the stories, which strikes me as an outdated and somewhat sexist style. I will probably keep listening to the show, (when the show is good, it’s REALLY good), but I will do so with the hope that this trope disappears.

Always very engaging stories.

Candid and straight, Shannon Cason's stories are invariably humorous and thoughtful.
