Description

New episodes every Monday. Two friends who take things way too personally try to convince the world it’s got it all wrong when it comes to pop culture. Listen in as they swap their under-qualified and unapologetic opinions of movies, television, music and books in a reference-packed podcast filled with laughing, crying, but mostly arguing to the point of threatening bodily harm. It’s like if Dame Maggie Smith were a podcast. If this doesn’t sound interesting to you, frankly... how dare you!

These two keep me in the loop about pop culture

Just discovered this podcast, and I love it! I really enjoy their lighthearted discussion of pop culture, especially niche TV and movies, music, and 90's and 00's throwbacks that make me nostalgic in all the best ways.

Dare To Listen

This is one of my top podcasts. It's a great way to stay up-to-date on pop culture and revist old favorites. The hosts are funny and whimsical, but still serious in all the right ways (in addressing matters of equal representation, for example, or in calling out instances of cultural appropriation). It is well-paced and the production quality is great. I especially enjoy when Ricky and Maria share and compare listicles, like when they rank the Harry Potter films or discuss the best "natural disaster" movies. Such episodes make for great conversation fodder, and I love coming up with my own lists and asking others about their own rankings.

More, please

I found this podcast this past spring and I love it so much! The two hosts are super fun and relatable and listening to them talk feels like a chill hangout. They're well-versed in all kinds of pop culture and I usually agree with what they like and don't like. Obviously that's subjective, but they keep the show moving and well-paced!
