delightful show
Michael Ian Black is an excellent interviewer; not only is he hilarious, but he's a close listener and asks insightful questions. I can't wait for more episodes!
Your new favorite podcast
How To Be Amazing is my new favorite podcast. I've been a fan of MIB and his comedy for a long time, and his podcast is both a departure from what I thought I knew of him and at the same time exactly what I expected. Black is a thoughtful and talented interviewer, better than most podcasters that I regularly listen to. Listeners can tell he approaches each interview well prepared, but he is also able to shift gears easily and transition seamlessly into new topics as his guests guide the conversation. He's clever and quick with a joke but never in the more sarcastic or confrontational tone you might expect if you're a Twitter follower. He's very respectful and listeners can tell that he is truly interested in his guests and really makes every effort to connect with them, tell their story, and learn from them as we his listeners are able to do as well. I have enjoyed getting to know a number of interesting personalities that I might never have without his podcast. My only complaint is that I wish he posted more frequently, two weeks is a long time, but hopefully as his listenership grows so will the frequency of his posts. Give it a listen, and it'll be your new favorite podcast too!
A must listen for creative inspiration
This is the show I have always wanted to hear… interviews with creatives about HOW and WHY they do what they do. Thanks, Michael Ian Black and team, for providing this great resource.
