Humans in Love is a podcast for passionate people--a venue for wide-ranging conversations about culture, relationships, and personal development featuring unconventional perspectives. Featuring interviews with authors, musicians, coaches, psychologists, and a wide range of others, think of it as “self-improvement” that doesn’t take itself too seriously. One week we might be talking about sex, relationships, and travel, the next we might be unpacking a bestselling author’s creative process. No subject is off limits in Humans in Love, as host and guests share revealing personal stories and explore the unique challenges associated with becoming a better human in the 21st century. The three essential prerequisites for guests and listeners alike are lust for life, a sense of humour, and an open mind. Humans in Love is hosted by author and coach Zachary Stockill, whose work on culture and personal development has been featured in BBC News, the Huffington Post, PopMatters, The Art of Charm, and many other podcasts and publications. Described by one generous listener as “Anthony Bourdain meets Alan Watts,” Zachary is the author of the guidebook Overcoming Retroactive Jealousy, and the founder and head coach at RetroactiveJealousy.com, where he has helped hundreds of thousands of men and women in over 180 countries overcome jealousy and possessiveness in their relationships. In 2016 Zachary hosted the podcast Travels in Music, which was featured as 'New and Noteworthy' by iTunes US, UK, Canada, Australia, and more, cracking the top-20 podcast charts in several of those countries. Over the past decade, Zachary has interviewed Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar winners, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alumni, NYT best-selling authors, even a former Beatle. Humans in Love picks up where Travels in Music left off, exploring an even wider range of topics, stories, and insights from some of the planet’s most interesting and insightful people. Guests include world-renowned Beatles authority Mark Lewisohn, legendary psychotherapist Dr. Brad Blanton, and award-winning author Isabel Losada, to name a few. Love interviewers that actually listen and understand their subjects. The first two episodes on Beatles historian Mark L were one of the best I’ve listened to and I’ve listened to many. As a serious songwriter I find his interview approach very interesting
I think I’ve listened to every Mark Lewisohn interview that can be found. Zachary with great respect but also persistence got Mark talking about things I have never heard him delve so deeply into before.
Respect and Care
I appreciate the respect and care that Zachary showed to his talk with Mark. Mark is a global treasure and needs nothing but support in finishing his masterwork, and Zachary got that. Zachary has a skill for creating a real conversation and not just a list of questions. I will continue to tune in (no pun intended).
