Customer Reviews
Down to earth, accessible, coffee podcast!
I Brew My Own Coffee talks about coffee with its guests that is accessible to everyone, not just people that are involved in the coffee industry. Its compelling conversation with people that just enjoy coffee, from people meeting up before a bike ride, to the people that go directly to farmers and purchase coffee to roast here in the states, this podcast is both interesting and informative without being pretentious about its content. For everyday people, who drink coffee everyday.
Great t hear a quality coffee podcast
I have been listening to dozens of podcasts the last few years. This is the first show about coffee that I honestly enjoy. I'm only up through part of episode two, but if it keeps it up, I will be a regular listener for sure.
A diamond in the rough, maybe, the show seems a bit formal and and content driven -- to the point of lacking personality that will make the show distinct and memorable. Like the host, who's name I've not learned yet, is still getting in his groove.
But where the content is at is above par for the course.
Great coffee podcast brewing here
This is a great addition to the podcast and coffee universe. I’m especially interested in and therefore especially enjoyed the segments about the overlap between bikes and coffee. I appreciate Alex’s effort to educate the lay-person about the nuances of coffee roasting and brewing and I would love to hear more about coffee basics (i.e. terminology, explanations and deconstruction and benefits of certain brewing techniques, etc.). One thing I value in a podcast that is lacking so far is “segmenting” the podcast, or having regular questions or items that are consistent from episode to episode. And perhaps some intro and outdo music or “coffee sounds”?
Overall, I highly recommend for any coffee fetishist or lay-drinker.
