After every episode of FX's "The People v. O.J. Simpson," Jeffrey Toobin (a consultant on the show who wrote the book by the same name) joins "Reliable Sources" host Brian Stelter to separate fact from fiction.
||ExplicitEp. 10 - "The Verdict" is delivered to O.J. Simpson and the world, Toobin: O.J. is "guilty as hell"||The verdict is handed down by the jury and no viewer should be surprised. But as Jeffrey Toobin has pointed at throughout the series, as the proceedings took on a surreal atmosphere, the verdict wasn't a surprise. Jeffrey and Brian discuss the party after the verdict, O.J.'s payment from a tabloid for party photos, the works of the defense attorneys after the trial, having his work optioned for the TV show and what it's like behind the scenes now that the show has wrapped.||4/5/2016||Free||View in iTunes|
Great insight... Improved audio
Ep 1&2 were pretty rough from a technical/audio standpoint but the content of the discussion is great. Toobin wrote the book the TV ahow is based on, who better to hear from? Ep 3 audio is cleaned up and much easier to listen to. Great stuff!
Short, sweet, and grounding for a fictional tor de force
Love this podcast as something extra to munch on after the show. It's the only one out there I've found that offers some factual input into the story while introducing additional information for a case that I wasn't old enough to consume during the trial. Love it.
