Hi. This is a podcast about video game music, mostly (but not exclusively) from third- to fifth-generation consoles. Singing Mountain is hosted by Drew Mackie, who feels most at home in the music from 16-bit RPGs.

Informative and sweet

Singing Mountain, as the name suggests, is a great return to the nostalgia of yesteryear's video-game music. Mackie takes his listeners on a refelctive, sometiems medatiative journey throguh the connections and stories of some of the most iconis songs in gaming. Each episode shows off the research, time, and dedication Mackie invests in the theme, and I found myself learning something new about songs and games I thought I knew everything about. If you like gaming, music, and both combined, then you HAVE to check this podcast out.

I heartily enjoy this podcast, which I made

I tired of only seeing one review for this podcast so I decided to add another one. But since this is my podcast, I decided to play fair and say that it was pretty good. It's not perfect, but who is? Anyway, I'm working hard to make it better for you wonderful nerds who share my love for old video game music.

Very excited!

I've been having to listen to the episodes here and there from tumblr and I'm glad that I was able to find it on here. I love the in depth conversation Drew has about the video game scores of yesteryear. He's already tackled some of my favorites and I can't wait to see which ones he discusses next.
