The Purpose of Purpose - EP 114

    Matthew Kimberley - How to Get a F*cking Grip - EP 113

    Matthew Kimberley - How to Get a F*cking Grip - EP 113

Matthew Kimberley is a sales training extraordinaire – sought by bigtime entrepreneurs, fortune-500s and those smart enough (and flush enough) to seek his counsel.
He's taught French to rich kids in Kuala Lumpur, served Whisky in Brussels and given English lessons through the magic of theatre, in Italy.
In 2007, he threw on his big boy pants to found a tech recruitment company in Belgium (which he grew to millions in revenue), before taking on the top job at the Book Yourself Solid School of Coach Training. He later went on to create The School for Selling, and he is the cunning brains behind The Single Malt Mastermind and The Principles of Professional Persuasion.
Today, from his Bond-style lair on the sunny island of Malta (where, apparently, everyone is naked), he works with companies from around the world to help them achieve remarkably better results. Indeed, Glamour Magazine described him as the “tough-love business guru”. His latest book, Get a F*cking Grip is the last self-help book you'll ever need. Today, we discuss why. Learn more.

How to make extra money at home as a remote worker - 112

The daily commute is no more. In its place, a delightful vacuum of available hours to indulge long-suppressed curiosities, desires, and human needs. This pandemic that’s torn across our planet has done incalculable damage, but it’s also produced something no one had before – free time.
How should you use this time? Can you use it to make some extra money on the side? My answers are ‘boldly’, and ‘hell, yes!’ In this episode, I break down how you can start earning extra cash on the side, which platforms and mediums to consider, and the four principles of building a side hustle. Take notes.

Mary Rogers on midlife, failure, and changing your mind. EP 111

Mary Rogers on midlife, failure, and changing your mind. EP 111

Listen in as I chat with one of the smartest and nicest midlifers I’ve ever met, in the longest podcast interview I've ever conducted - a whopping 2 hrs & 32 minutes! Mary's actually responsible for the most enjoyable podcast I’ve ever done - not as the host, but as a guest on her show, the Experience 50 Podcast For Midlife, in November 2019. As she said back then, we’re kindred spirits - like a brother and sister who've never hugged.

Think of us as a pair of expert midlifers who've come over for a few drinks as we riff about apologizers, failure, and the value of changing your mind, plus a bit of Tim Ferriss thrown in for good measure.

What’s Next? A whole lot of life!

It’s great to have a podcast that focuses on people experienced in life! Too often I hear advice about life by younger people aimed at other younger people, but what about those of us who’ve been around longer? Sure, all ideas are welcome, but it’s especially helpful to hear from people who’ve been on the path and are trying to manage all the bumps in the road. Keep up the good work, Peter!
