Description

Folklore and mystery run together across the ridges and deep hollars of the Appalachian Mountain chain. The tales are handed down from generation to generation. This story stretches from the Washington, D.C. suburbs to the shadowy mountains of Southwest Virginia. When Robin Dern, a Washington, DC reporter, is asked to help solve the mystery of a missing girl, she travels to the dark mountains of Southwest Virginia. Once there, she's enveloped in a deeper and more dangerous situation than she ever imagined.

Promising

I gave it 5 stars bc the premise and mythology through episode 3 seems like it will be good. The narrator is great. Constructive criticism time...it’s painfully obvious that the main characters and interview characters are reading directly off a script during the recording, to the point where you can hear them get caught on certain lines and words. The voice acting just needs to be far more natural to be even remotely believable. Still, so far it’s worth a listen. The production value seems very good and the Cash cover as the intro song is awesome.
