A Catered Affair
This week we talk about A Catered Affair a musical with a book by Harvey Fierstein and music and lyrics by John Bucchino.
Based on both the 1956 film The Catered Affair written by Gore Vidal and the original 1955 teleplay by Paddy Chayefsky, set in 1953 in the Bronx, it's a really unrated musical!
Enjoy! -

Dance of the Vampires
Oh, oh sweet Christ. This is a big one.
DOTV is an awful, awful show and I am too excited the whole time.
There is no cast recording of the show so, the audio is from a bootleg of the OBC.
Follow me @NOTPatReilly.
I actually just did a video about Dance of the Vampires on my YouTube channel so, if you'd like to know more please check it out. You can find me at NotPAtReilly on YouTube. -

Pipe Dream is the seventh musical by the team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II; it premiered on Broadway on November 30, 1955. The work is based on John Steinbeck's short novel Sweet Thursday, a sorta sequel to his other book Cannery Row. Pipe Dream ran for 245 performances and was considered a huge financial disaster for Rodgers and Hammerstein.
