100 years after L. Frank Baum's saga that began with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the Gale Family Farm sits abandoned in what's left of the great Kansas prairies. After her parents' messy divorce, Jessi Hugson and her mother move to Dorothy's old neighborhood for a new beginning. Things were already off to a shaky start, but when Jessi and her cousin Wallace find a jewel-studded bracelet in Dorothy's front yard...things get twisted. Twister'd, even.

Undaunted

When using a beloved source material, it's really tricky to not lean too heavily in one direction or the other, but Hit the Bricks nails the sweet spot of faithful to the source material while adding enough of its own magic & charm. The writing is sublime & the sound design even more so... do not miss this podcast & subscribe now !!!

Oz-mazing

I can not begin to rave enough about this podcast. Continuing the tradition of L. Frank Baum in a very organic and clever way, Hit the Bricks is a brand new, modern and inclusive sequel to the first 14 books of the series. Littered with Easter Eggs, pathos and charm, it’s a blast to listen to from start to finish.

So much fun

If you like fairytale logic this podcast has you covered. The music and story are amazing and how they imagine the world of oz is wonderful. I haven’t been able to get hit the bricks out of my head for days now.
