Five years ago, Molly Weaver, Bryan Anderson, and Nathan Howell started a podcast focused on the local legend of a monster called The Blackwood Bugman. Quickly, the investigation grows out of their control, as they discover that, not only are the legends seemingly true, many people in Blackwood have turned up dead or disappeared without a trace. Worse, there may be a reason why no one has ever uncovered the truth before. Someone is watching them, willing to do whatever it takes to keep the secret. Their recordings have finally been released.

Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Definitely give it a listen!!

Good show!

I cannot wait for the next season. This was a very entertaining show!

Not bad but not great (yet)

I’m not mad about the ads. They have every right to earn from their work and they’re tasteful enough.

The organ music is apropos and pretty rad.

The story is very cool. The found footage-type style is a little hit and miss, but kudos for trying.

My biggest problem is that the characters are not particularly likable. They’re constantly aggravated or being hyper dramatic. Sometimes it fits, sometimes it just feels “off”. When you don’t really relate to or like the characters in a podcast, it’s hard to care about their motivations or what happens to them.

Here’s hoping the second season builds upon this foundation and the podcast lives up to its great potential.
