When a brutal murder rocks a small Southern town, residents and police are shocked. Could the new guy in town be the one who who did it? Yes, the cops say, he is. Case solved. But then another murder happens. And another. In the end: four bodies, two convictions, and one man in jail for a crime he likely did not commit. Welcome to Murderville, Georgia. Investigative reporters Liliana Segura and Jordan Smith uncover what happens when law enforcement locks up their first suspect, leaving another man free to kill. This trial is a hot mess!

I see someone claiming these Journalists are calling everyone racists in Georgia!!!!!

I haven’t heard anything like that while I’ve been listening.
Wrongful conviction does happen to many people of color but it certainly does not discriminate against race and try being poor and white, or having an intellectual disability; especially from a small town where a select few hold all of the power.
Studies even show you can be educated, a non minority, and you can be coerced into admitting your GUILTY when you are INNOCENT!!!!
Listen to this podcast people. Something is seriously wrong with our justice system in this country.
This is not a problem of the South either, I live in Cook County Illinois, home to the City of Chicago. We lead the country in wrongful convictions.

These 2 are very judgmental

These 2 are so judgmental quit putting all people from small towns in Georgia in the same category
They are racists against Georgians
They don’t have all the facts
They Don’t care about the victim her name is DONNA BROWN

Great show

If your a fan of shows like serial, this show is for you. In-depth look into murders and critical view of the criminal “justice” system. A must hear!
