Great Info, Grating Host

I found this podcast through another blogger whose work I follow closely. The information put forth is nothing revolutionary, just standard content marketing principles. But it serves as a great reminder of what to do, and what not to do. I found myself, at several points, jotting down notes to remind myself to do "this" or "that".

However, there were several segments where I was tempted to stop the podcast and listen to something else. The host is a bit rambunctious. Everything he says is uttered at fever pitch, almost yelling. He laughs loudly at statements that weren't meant as jokes, and he has a penchant for self-praise.

I'm going to keep listening, because I find this podcast useful. But my advice for the host is to tone it down, and let the information speak for itself.

marketing schlep strikes again

Not much here other than sales copy, misleading headlines and fluff to squeeze you to his email list. Next!

You lost Me At Mother-BLEEP-er

Looked like a good podcast. When the show opens with a casual disregard for profanity, I'm makes me wonder about the character of the interviewer who is leading the program. Yes, I only gave him one shot, but when your kids are in the same room listening to it with you, I'm guessing you'd tune it out too.
