Customer Reviews

Interesting Times is great to listen to on a coffee break, or on the train to or from work. Interesting Times explores an eclectic variety of topics that you wouldn't have learned about in your boring history classes. Mr. Streckert does a fantastic job of sharing with us how history really is philosophy teaching by examples.

Fascinating and funny

Interesting is in the name for a reason. Besides just being engaging and fascinating, these podcasts are the perfect length for me. All history podcasts should be like this.

Knowledgable and accessible

Joe Streckert lives up to his series name. Even though I have taught Mexican History, I learned a few choice tidbits, like the fact that Mexican soldiers taunted the French after Cinquo de Mayo by singing La Marseillaise, which had been forbidden by Napoleon III. It's always a pleasure to listen to, and well-organized enough so that you can have it on while sweeping or driving.
