Interesting; but question existence.

I like to listen to podcasts that have interesting subject matter. This podcast is kinda interesting but is more of a time passer than an interesting crime cast.

From the beginning we already know that there is nothing new to be learned from this "investigation". So you may ask why does it exist? I would suggest that it exists because of the success of Criminal.

In one of the first hours of this cast we are told it's because they want to solve a mystery. If that's the case why not lay it all out there? Why create a series of separate episodes to reel the listener in? Why does it feel like I'm listening to a production instead of a plea to find the truth? Why now?

I'll suggest that this cast is merely another attempt to garner iTunes chart positioning for the flavor of the month.

Nothing wrong with getting accolades for work but shrouding it in a veil of "we did this for the victim" bothers me.

I would rate this higher if the casters said that; at the end of the day they thought this would garner an interesting story rather than attempting to act like they discovered a terrible crack in the system.

It is just another time filler that will leave you with nothing more than recorded voices over piano keys to provoke you into thinking it's all so provocative.

Really strong start!

As a true crime podcast enthusiast, I devoured these first two episodes. I love that it's being done by two journalists from a well-respected newspaper who know what they're doing, so many of the true crime podcasts right now are being done by amateurs who don't; I feel like I'm in safe hands with these women. Also it's so much more respectful of the victim and her loved ones than pretty much anything else out there. What happened was a tragedy, and Amber is not shying away from that fact. Can't wait for the next episode!

Some advice

Advice for Amber Hunt:
Don't inject yourself into the story. You are not that interesting. You are a distraction.
Your interview with Buzz was a great example of how not to interview someone. You did not build any rapport with him, and it became very clear that you were being accusatory in your questioning, and resentful of his reaction to it.
I think you owe him an apology.
