Just downloaded all the episodes to listen to. I heard Ms. Heaton guest hosting on the Marc Gunn's "Irish and Celtic Music podcast" (Episode 214). She has a fantastic voice, engaging interviews, and I love the stories they told on her show. I'm really looking forward to more content from her.
A true insider's window on a fascinating world
Shannon is both a brilliant Irish musician as well as a deeply thoughtful interviewer while letting her interviewees speak for themselves, though she could certainly add her own two cents more than she does. The editing is excellent, and the content is choice. Her significant efforts have manifested one o the single best repositories of insight into Irish music, the scene surrounding it, and the people who populate it, enjoyable for the veteran and casually interested alike.
a taste of being a musician
I have no musical talent but it is nice to get a taste of what it is like. it has something for both those seasoned in the Irish music scene and those interested in getting involved. Well produced.
