Upbeat! was an irreverent, maybe subversive podcast exploring the power of positive human emotions in entertainment, activism, politics, and future technology. It was consumed by Chaos. Now, on each Chaos Update, we explore the personal evolution from nothingness to something extraordinary. Metaphors to mark our magic moments in the mayhem. Basically, John's audio journal/confessional booth.

Witty, thought provoking, smart, funny, entertaining
Candid and Wise
I'm a new listener, really having found you because I'm also participating in the Dog Days of Podcasting challenge, but I'm blown away by how candid you are, how wise, and how witty. Tonight's ep - on asking for help - is so crucial, for everyone. Asking for help is hard, whether it's because of a mental health condition, or because of an illness or injury, or just because of circumstance, and your take on it was so honest and so human.

I love this podcast!
John has razor-sharp insights, he's funny as hell, and he's respectful of the topics that are worthy of respect. I'm never bored listening to the J. Lilly Show. I believe that whether or not one has bipolar disorder, John's observations and his guests make for a compelling & very entertaining listening experience.
