Commune is a podcast where we explore the ideas and practices that bring us together and help us live healthy, purpose-filled lives. We believe personal and societal health are two sides of the same coin, and that cultivating personal wellness is the first step toward making the world well. We connect with experts, scientists, and storytellers around food, health, social impact, mindfulness and movement practices, personal growth, and environmental action. In addition to being a podcast, Commune is also an online course platform where thousands of participants take each course together, day-by-day, for free. We then provide social tools that empower participants to form local action groups and implement their new knowledge in their communities.

Great Topics v. Grating Voice

This show covers some really great topics but I can’t listen to it because of the guy’s voice.

Love the Podcast, Hate the Ads

I truly appreciate the conversations and ideas in this podcast, and also appreciate that funding for such a great podcast means that there are ads. However, I listen to this podcast to better myself and often have my young daughter running in and out of the room as I am listening. As such, I really don’t want to hear ads for so called “entertainment” podcasts that involve disrespecting children, murder, abuse, etc. This is not only for my daughter’s sake, but also mine. If I am listening to a conversation with Deepak Chopra, I am obviously not interested in such content and am honestly horrified to even listen to the content of these ads. Is it possible to align these ads more with the content of the podcast? I truly find these ads disturbing and don’t want to hear them - even if it means not listening to Commune.

Incredible impressed how each week you tackle complex everyday topics/subjects and address them in a thoughtful, practical and educational way and then effectively articulate them to the lay-person. Congratulations.
