The Forward’s podcasts are the "Reporters' Roundtable," a weekly conversation between Forward staff about the most pressing issues in the Jewish world, hosted by Josh Nathan-Kazis, and "Yid Lit," a biweekly series interviewing acclaimed authors of literary fiction and nonfiction, hosted by Allison Yarrow. The "Reporters’ Roundtable" discusses topics like the growing rent protests in Israel, debate over the call to promote "peoplehood" within the Jewish community and the increasingly significant and yet fraught relationship between the Jewish and Latino communities in America. "Yid Lit" has interviewed more than 30 notable authors including National Book Critics Circle Award winner Darin Strauss, New Yorker magazine “20 under 40” fiction writers Gary Shteyngart and Nicole Krauss and British writer and Orange Prize winner Linda Grant.

Customer Reviews

I love the forward podcast!

The round up of the week's stories is like a fresh burst of news and the interviews are always interesting. Everyone from Nazi hunters to Ruth Messinger. I love listening to the podcast while I'm cooking.

great jewish podcast

the forward is the best (maybe the only??) podcast about current jewish events and it's _fantatic_ and always interesting. the elena kagan podcast was especially good. it's so nice to see people tackling jewish news in a really timely and smart way. only 2 complaints: 1. it should be a bit longer, maybe 30 minutes and have a few more segments. it's not quite long enough to settle in and listen. 2. why does it come up like number 47 when you do an itunes search for "jewish"?? i only know about it because one of my friends listens and it's without a doubt the best jewish podcast. they seriously need to check their rss tags / metadata or something. are you listening, forward? other than that great podcast.
