Wow, these guys are funny. New listener here.

These guys are the real deal. I don't know much about their beckground, but here's what I've been able to figure out:

Jim and Them are 4 white twentysomethings from Las Vegas. They are into pop culture and hip-hop. They seem to take turns serving as the "straight man" as the other three make fun of the fourth by analyzing an aspect of his life (financial problems, legal woes, girl problems, diet, etc.). They work kind of like an improv group in that each bit builds up in its outrageousness and they play off each other like a synchronized comedy drill team. For young slackers, these guys are very, very smart, quick and witty. I get the impression that they've all known each other for a long time. One of them appears to be a stand-up comic in Vegas. I saw a clip of his act online and it was a riot.

Two of them (Jim and Jeff?) have a hip-hop group called R.A.P.E.D. that does filthy cover versions of popular rap songs. Funny stuff and they've actually got mad flow.

Lately, they've been growing in popularity through hilarious You Tube "commentary tracks" to ridiculous videos including Insane Clown Posse's "Miracles." This was the funniest I've ever heard them. Sample that on You Tube before you subscribe to this. It's a great example of how fast and clever these dudes are.

My only complaint is that it becomes hard to tell their voices apart at times. As I continue to listen and delve into their archives, I imagine this will be easier. I think they may be a part of a podcast network of sorts, but that hasn't been explained, and I don't know how the other podcasts on the network fit into the Jim and Them world.

Be warned: serious dirty adult content. If you like Howard Stern, Adam Corrola, Keith And The Girl, or Red Bar Radio, then you'll love Jim & Them.

Jim and Them PWN!

Jim and Them really bring you the entertainment week in and week out! Believe me I should know!
