Good Idea, Low Brow Execution

I really wanted to enjoy this podcast. I listened to two episodes and I liked the concept, but the voice acting and constant music in the background was way too over-the-top. And I found the narrators insufferable, with their hokey and wholly unfunny jokes and unnecessary comments. I stopped listening when they threw in some sly misogynistic and transphobic remarks disguised as "jokes" in the Caligula episode. Actual intellectuals, don't waste your time with this dumbed-down and flashy garbage.

Fantastic In All Ways

I love how quickly these stories move. They keep me awake on my commute. The hosts are wonderful together and the voice actors are really superb. This has just enough of the early radio feel to make it engaging to listen to, but contemporary enough for my teenagers to enjoy. One of the few things that keeps my kids quiet. And they're learning something that they can do further research on! Love it, keep them coming!!!

This is so cool!

I just started to listen to this podcast, and I'm hooked! I love the voice actors, the facts. It feels so real! I can't wait to see what you have next!
