Elitist and Out of Touch 👎🏽
Katie's Frank Lutz interview could not have been more classist and from a position of privilege when discussing the majority of Americans today who are struggling just to make ends meet. Katie and her co-host Brian seemingly couldn't get over the fact that almost half of Americans would not be able to afford a $400 unexpected expense -- and then there were those remarks about how if you really what to get a sense of today's struggle then go to the "buffet line" or a Denny's to check the pulse of America's working poor.
Just the fact that this conversation kept referencing a group of Americans as "they" and "them" was 100 percent "otherism". I only continued to listen out of utter shock. I mean, who is Katie's intended podcast audience? A bunch of her rich friends?
I only gave the show a second star because at least Frank tried to come across as sincere 🙄
Great to hear Katie get to share more of her personality than the anchor desks permits!
Manufactured and manipulated
Katie has compromised her principles and no longer represents fair and honest journalism.
