Stand-up comedians Sam Morril and Phil Hanley have convinced their other comic friend Joe Machi to do a podcast with them at the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Every week, the group bickers and then tries to convince Joe to stay. The men quickly become boys when Liz, the Comedy Cellar manager, will sit in to oversee the anarchy. WARNING: This podcast has the potential to turn into a musical at any time.

Listen to every episode—solid gold

I love this podcast. Joe Machi is one of my favorite comics and serves as the butt of musical parodies and original songs by Sam Morril (lyrics) and the amazing Colin Smith (music). Phil Hanley serves as second chair butt boy when Machi gets alpha. Some might call Liz the hole of the show, but she’s more of a top and sometimes seems like the host of the show. Together they form a hydra of hilarity (great alliteration) that will fill your ears with funny and your mouth with Hanley.

#1 podcast ever

It’s funny that any other podcast thinks it can be even 1/2 as funny as this one. best podcast ever conceived. Heard about it they mark normand and instantly became a fan. Keeping joe for life.

Liz Miserables

I noticed that if they talk about anything that Liz was not part of, or didn’t see, like a movie or show, she immediately disengages. The audience listens, to learn and hear funny people talk about their experiences. Not our Liz though. If she’s not in the shot, she’s not on the lot.
