Author and social activist Deanna Zandt (“Share This!”) gets together with author and weirdo Alice Bradley (“Let’s Panic About Babies”) to talk about depression, anxiety, and all the other ways our brains can play tricks on us. They’ll also discuss what helps, whether it’s medication, meditation, or binge-watching Netflix while eating an entire wheel of cheese. Join Alice and Deanna every other week as they amuse each other and the guests they’ve managed to trick into joining them. It’s all going to be okay. Probably.

The most honest and insightful discussion of depression i have ever come across
This is so freaking lovely
Wow, it’s such an excellent thing that this exists! All hail to The League of Awkward Unicorns, they and their followers shall be legion! And borderline mentally healthy!
You Don't Think It Be How It Is But It Do
I have never been on anti-depressant medication, nor have I ever visited a therapist, so one would think this is the last podcast on earth that would appeal to me, yet there is something awkwardly comforting about it. Listening to these women (and it's always women) discuss depression and anxiety and ennui feels a little like sitting by myself in a gentrified sidewalk cafe, eating a Cobb salad that is good not great and certainly not worth the $15.99 they charged me for it, eavesdropping on an intelligent, heartfelt conversation being held by a group of women at the table behind me; I want to turn to them and say, "Oh, I felt that way once, too!" And then I break from the reverie, realize that I am not sitting next to them in a cafe, but am instead sitting alone in my bedroom, eating King-Sized Cadbury chocolate bars instead of salad, wondering why it is getting harder to fit into my pants.
It will be interesting to see where this podcast goes as it matures and develops.
