For more advanced learners

If you are a new learner, this is not the chinese podcast for you. If you have are an intermediate or advanced learner looking for a more immersive experience, this is a great opportunity to use your existing chinese to learn chinese.

Definitely for intermediate to advanced learners

This is excellent material for practicing Chinese. I get more listening practice here than I ever did in my college Chinese classes. The speed of the speakers is slow and the pronunciation is very clear. The explanations of the new words is done nearly 98% in Chinese which really helps you think in Chinese rather than trying to translate in English. I recommend going to the website and getting the transcription and list of new words with explanation. Another good thing about this podcast is that they don't fill it up with a lot of unnecessary English or explanations of who they are or what you are supposed to do.

Excellent podcast, but not for beginners.

I've been using this podcast since I first found it, and it's been extremely helpful for learning Mandarin Chinese because it is done almost entirely in Chinese. The explanations of new vocabulary is simple and clear. The dialogues may not be the most exciting material, but they're entertaining enough to keep learners motivated. In short, this is a good resource to use once you feel somewhat comfortable with Mandarin, but until then you should look elsewhere for your learning needs.
