Launching January 30th, 2019, Let’s Get Civical is part civics class and part comedy show. Join Lizzie Stewart and Arden Walentowski as they unpack and repack those political and government structures that have driven us to the cry for help we’re in today. This stuff is confusing and we’ve made it our mission to break it down so we all understand what the FDR is going on. It’s like being in American Government class with your BFFs! But no exams. We promise! Lizzie is an NYC based comedian who performs regularly all over the city and headlines all of her family functions as the "one from New York". Arden is a politics and civics buff who’s worked on local, state, and national campaigns.

Not sure what they are giving us
They don’t tell us about the topic, they jus talk about it in a round about way. I’m not really sure that I go anything out of it. Plus the audio is really bad, I either can’t hear what they are saying or it’s super loud. I wanted to love this because I don’t know very much about civics.
Great idea but...
As a history teacher I often listen to podcasts to stay fresh and pass recommendations to my students to support their learning. The impeachment episode was hard to listen to because of the historical inaccuracies and lazy research. They got the charges against Clinton incorrect, (didn’t even mention White Water) and couldn’t remember the Tenure of Office act or who Edward Stanton was. Your podcast presented itself as a fresh take and I know it’s new but please complete more research before you record.
What?! Learning about government?!
So I don’t know about you but we legit skipped any civics or government classes in school, and I could not tell you how anything happens. This podcast is offering that info to me now as grown adult, and I appreciate it so much, including that they make it fun to listen to.
