"Do you think [long sigh] dudes would like this movie?"

Let's Watch 2 Movies is a genuine delight. It's texcual criticism that feels accessible, it's a jokey panel show with two very funny people, it's warm in tone but incredibly sharp in its critiques.

It makes me love some great movies more, like Black Swan, and for some other movies I couldn't bring myself to watch, it's a funny recap so I can make jokes about them at parties.

The audio quality is excellent, and for a lightly edited show it manages to feel funny and sharp.

Great balance of humor and insight

This is a pretty new show, but it's quickly becoming one of my favourites. The hosts have *great* chemistry. The inane banter is pushed just far enough to be very funny without getting tedious, and the rest of the time they're providing very thoughful anaylsis and critque. The balanced contast the heightens my appreciation of both elements.

I really recommend giving it a try -- you'll know quickly enough whether it's for you.

Interesting premise, well-executed

Echoing what other reviewers have said, this is a highly enjoyable podcast for those who love comedy and cinema. The hosts provide context and reason for their criticisms while not being afraid to laugh at something silly or incomprehensible. Even for movies that you might not see, there is enough discussion to keep you from feeling lost without being a recitation of the plot. The interplay between the hosts works very well and both take their job seriously even if the movie doesn't deserve it. The structure of paired episodes works well, allowing each movie to be discussed fully while allowing for anticipation to build for their thoughts on the 2d movie and how the two are related.
