Sorely needed and beautifully done
Listening to Ladies is a total pleasure. I'm not part of the classical music world, but am loving this podcast just the same. These inspired interviews with women who are new-music composers are full of beauty and wisdom, as well as music clips that send me running for YouTube afterward. Don't miss Ingrid Stolzel's gorgeous "The More Things Change," which is excerpted on her interview. LtL is also attentive to diversity, which is huge considering so many "feminist" efforts leave out women of color and/or queer women. Don't miss this beauty of a podcast.
Thoughtful and Eclectic
What a great podcast - although only a few episodes have been released, consider me a fan and subscriber. Incredibly thoughtful interviews with diverse composers help introduce a wider audience to women in their field. I look forward to the rest of the season!
Excellent format and insightful discussions
The format is quite listener-friendly; there is an excellent mix of music and discussion. Elisabeth asks insightful questions, and brings on fascinating guests. I particularly liked the interview with Pamela Z, and found the discussion of her background fascinating.
