Beautiful storytelling

In the age of hot takes and a news cycle that seems to focus on political coverage above all else, I love Longreads for bringing us stories you can really sit down with and enjoy. It's like getting a thoughtfully considered magazine delivered to you every day. I'm excited about the podcast because now I can bring these stories with me during my commute. The first episode had such terrific narration and told me a story about Dolly I never considered. That one will stay with me for a while. The best stories always do.

Smart people, smart material

Longreads has been a boon to the brainy side of the Internet for several years, now, and this podcast is a welcome new angle. So far it seems to be nothing but extremely smart writers and editors speaking very thoughtfully about important topics and high-quality narrative journalism. Plus it's as pleasant to listen to as it is engaging, which seems rare these days! Most definitely worth a listen.

Storytelling beautifully done

I love that Longreads editors are all over the world and foster diverse writers and types of longform. This podcast is lovely, excited to hear more
