The Best Radio Show is Always Out-of-Range

People often ask me what they should listen to on the radio.

"Love & Radio" is always my first suggestion.

After that, people ask me where they can find more shows like "Love & Radio."

....that's a really good question.

It's strange, intimate, non-didactic, but, most of all, it's genuine.

Because Love isn't enough.

I broke up with her. That's how it "ended". But nothing involving actual feelings of love ever really ends, because we don't ever forget it, we just remember it incorrectly. I broke up with her, and it was good. And then it wasn't so good. And then the texting started. To this day she says she loves me, she still cares for me so much and I have so much to offer. Oh, she's just so understanding. Love + Radio wouldn't bother telling you how much it still cares for you, because who the the F@&# wants to hear that? Love + Radio tells you it just doesn't love you, and maybe it never did to begin with, that it was just in it because it's afraid of growing old and then finally dying alone. Or else because it was born with some kind of mutated uterus, its ovaries glowing like hot coals through their fleshy casing, that has felt appreciably, vocally empty since the age of like fourteen or something, and it felt like maybe you were a decent enough man to have been the one to finally fill all of that emptiness up and then still stick around and play out a domestic fantasy it would have needed to lean heavily, heavily on you to finance. Love + Radio says these things because it's not afraid to confront the truth of what it is. Quoting Victor Hugo, Love + Radio tells you that, “The sewer is the conscience of the city. Everything converges and clashes there. In this leaden place, there is darkness but there are no more secrets." Love + Radio is right.
