This podcast could be good if it was 5 minutes

I've listened to 4 and it takes the guy 20 minutes to actually begin any lecture or valuable information. Its all about him and his experiences. Not helpful unless you like listening to a guy talk about himself. He has good things to say but rambles for 55 minutes of the time.

Hypocrisy, a person on their "high horse"

After receiving a "negative" e-mail from a listener about how a show's topic was misleading, Dean once again threw a hissy fit, only this time he threw it from his high horse. Dean criticized this listener for "dumping," yet Dean [ironically and as a hypocrite] spent several minutes "dumping" on that E-mail listener disguised as a "lesson" for all of us.

Dean sanctimoniously labeled listeners with critical messages as "negative," and as people who have the wrong attitude, "attracting disempowerment"[he must have read The Secret'!]; while emails in which people wrote that he was "brilliant" were written by listeners who were positive, empowering people, who don't "dump" on people. All this self-help jargon is nauseating.

Dean can't take criticism. And we are bad people if we criticize. You simply can't argue with "Published Author" Dean--the Self-Help Guru whose expertise is trying to become a famous Self-Help Guru. Kind of sounds like a Ponzi Scheme.

Why does Dean always go out of his way to mention he's nice to the Star Bucks employees?
LOL. Methinks Dean Protest Too Much.

He always mentions he asks them "How their day is going," as if this point automatically qualifies a person as a good person.

I worked retail for many years, so I can say from experience, it's nice you say hello, but don't BIG yourself up and imagine that you made their day just because you took time to say hi to the little people.

It's cool if you're nice, but if you do so just to pat yourself on the back, or to tell your listeners, it's not for the right reason.

Bad person, negative emailer who fails self-help outlook protocol

Not good to listen to with kids in the car

I was an avid listener because the podcast is entertaining and informative. I started to get leary when I noticed how he cursed. This is an issue for me because I listen in the car with my kids who pick up on everything. He mentioned in one of his podcasts that he was going to get away from the bad language but I noticed recently he went back to using it. He had an interview with Mishka Shubaly who uses quite a bit of foul language and I wish he started the podcast with a warning that the language was explicit. I noticed there is a rating on the podcast as explicit but when you are listening to one podcast after another, you don't look at ratings nor do they show up on the Iphone. I think he has a great message but as you will hear him say, this is all part of his journey. I just wish he were more sincere when he said he was going to watch his language because if you are driving and listening with your kids, you should be aware that some episodes he does not curse and some he does.
