The Martians Are Here - Good Fun

You have to wonder 'what the heck?!' with this podcast title - is it serious sci-fi? Steve Martin comedy? prophesies from a lunatic? Curiosity killed the cat (sorry kitty). Anyway, on curiosity I subscribed and gave it a listen (primarily on the basis of other music and podcast work of the creative Rick Moyer who I have listened to here on iTunes and through another podcast or two). Guess what? I found myself listening in. Rick does the narration and music for the series and he is unpretentious. Easy to listen to and far from monotone like other audio productions. Right now I am trying to figure out where the base plot line from this Austrailian author is going. In the meantime, a guest short story about a giant eyed alien was a wonderful ride companion on the highway tonight and had me chuckling. Fun stuff with a great one liner ending (hope that wasn't a spoiler). Anyway - be sure to download a few episodes and give it a try. Hope to see more of the guest casts also, great writing.

You should listen!

This is yet another excellent production of Moyer Multimedia LLC. Rick's narration is strong, interesting and keeps you pulled into the story without being distracted. The music adds such a depth to the story that...is undescribable. It adds the creepiness factor that is necessary for a story like this. The story itself still has me scratching my head, which is a testament to the author as I'm "not seeing it coming" whatever it is. A rarity in productions these days.

For those thinking about it, suscribe and listen. You will not be disappointed. I keep waiting for it to come out each week and you should to.

Always a Treat

Freaky, funny, disturbing, and reassuring. You never know what you'll get out of this rockingly produced podcast. The narration is clean and relatable, the music strong but not distracting, and the story--or should I say the stories--captivating. Most 'casts are a chapter in a continuing novel, but occasionally guest writers bring in a fresh adventure to spice things up. I have never been disappointed.
