Digging Deep Into 70s Marvel

Anyone can cover Spider-Man, the Hulk, or the X-Men, it takes a special kind of comics nerd to tackle such Marvel ephermera as the licensed titles of the 1970s like Micronauts, the Human Fly, and 2001! But Ben Avery does a great job explaining why these often short-run series are worth talking about, with brief, concise recaps and interesting commentary. Plus he talks about the ads in these books, something hardly any other comic podcaster bothers with (including myself). Fun show, give it a listen if you're a die-hard 70s Marvel fan as I am!

Deep Dive into the 1970s Marvel Sci-Fi Titles

Ben's got a knack for exploring the best, so so and worst of Marvel's licensed science-fiction inspired comics from the 1970s. I've been enjoying his extrapolation of titles ranging from the first volume of Marvel's Star Wars to its John Carter, Warlord of Mars and Micronauts, among others. It's fun, informative and covers the subject with authority.
