Klepek and Co. Are Awesome

I've been a fan of Patrick since his Giant Bomb days and his perspective, thoughtfulness and intelligence are on full display in his new podcast. I look forward to getting to know the other two co hosts and have all ready taken their awesome, if bizarre, recommendations and played some really entertaining games I would have never checked out. This is a hearty and easy recommendation.

Great chemistry, varied topics

The most important part of a podcast like this is to have hosts who are fun together and have fun together, and match 3 is well supplied in that! It’s too early to tell if this show will have a particular “angle” on games, but whatever it becomes will definitely be worth your time!.

Different and cool.

Don’t be alarmed - the podcast is way cooler than the genre that lends it its name.

Videogames are a medium that too often gets away from thoughtfulness and due diligence. The news sites are often considered trade press and trailers often go straight from publisher to consumer. This podcast is nice because it reminds me that there are people out there who care about the way we interact with games, not just what games are coming out to interact with.

Admittedly, I came to this podcast from host Patrick’s twitter, but the addition of Gita Jackson - who makes her obsession with the Sims somehow interesting every time she brings it up - and Sam Phillips - who seems to give me something new to download on my iPhone every week - have really made it easy to put this into my podcast rotation. It’s good to hear voices that are not so similar to my own, as sometimes this culture feels like an echo chamber.

Also, that music is great. Like really great.
