Ginger Locke is a paramedic and professor of EMS students in the US. She has long been fascinated with the inner-workings of medics' minds. In this podcast, she interviews medics face-to-face, in long, intimate format. She thoughtfully asks her guests to open up about their mindset, routines, mistakes, thought-processes, and lessons hard-learned. This is her creative outlet (art). She is on twitter @gingerlockeatx and show notes from each episode can be found at medicmindset.com.

A Great Dialogue and the Perfect EMS Pillow Talk
Medic Mindset is one of the most unique EMS podcasts! There are other excellent podcasts talking about critical care, EMS news, etc. but they hit most of the EMS "hot topics". Ginger brings to light an entirely new topic of the mind of a medic in an incredibly captivating way that applies to both the newbie and the expert/seasoned provider alike. Ginger gets inside the head of medics, former medics, physicians, etc. and really dives into what makes us tick and how we think. As a medic, medical student, and academically trained in neuroscience... I am intrigued by every episode. Also, I have found the podcast to not just apply to EMS/paramedics, but a number of my medical school colleagues have given it a liste as well and love it. Ginger also has the perfect pillow talk voice that makes this the ideal podcast to curl up with a blanket, grab a cup of coffee, or lay your head down at night and take a listen and ponder the mind of a medic.
Ginger takes a different approach to podcasting that is fresh and packed full of knowledge. Always learning when a new episode comes out.
A refreshing listen on my commute
I haven’t been able to get hooked by other EMS podcasts but this is great! Just the right length for a commute and I’m always learning and laughing as I listen. The topics are always engaging and relatable! Somedays with work can be a little more rough, so this can be the pick me up needed to remember why I’m working this job and refocus me on what I’m passionate about.
