Description

On Medieval Death Trip, we feature a selected medieval text (often historical, occasionally literary) that touches on the odd, the gruesome, the unexpected, and similarly curious incidents, images, or ideas. In addition to presenting the text itself, each episode features commentary and musings upon that text.

Customer Reviews

Indeed it be different, unique and very cool.

This is a really interesting podcast. It's not just hearing about the Dark Ages, it's listening to first person views and accounts from life back then. He also gives an explanation of the history and events on what it's pertaining to, so we're not left in the dark of what was happening at that time. I like the riddles beginning in the second episode and the sound effects add to the story.

Great podcast

Very entertaining, well-produced podcast with short snippets of medieval texts and commentary. Scholarly, yet not afraid to be funny and a bit irrelevant talking about the weird and wonderful parts of medieval literature (like comparing medieval chronicles to clickbait internet articles.)

Medieval Time Trip

What a fascinating podcast! It is a combination of original source material, followed by historical and cultural interpretation, but told as if you were
just shooting the breeze with an intellectually curious, witty, nerdy buddy in the local bar. Highly recommended!
