Description

The mindbodygreen Podcast is a continuation of the mindbodygreen journey of mental, physical, spiritual, and environmental well-being. Jason Wachob, founder & CEO of mindbodygreen, shares motivational interviews with the people shaping the wellness world: pioneers, cutting-edge thinkers, and entrepreneurs who are changing the conversation. Topics include health, fitness, nutrition, self-help and more. It’s not scripted, it's not the Today show, and there are no prepared talking points. You'll hear the real stories behind the biggest names in wellness: their personal journeys, their struggles, and what got them to where they are today. You’ll be inspired, you’ll be moved, and you’ll hear firsthand about how wellness transforms lives.

Lacking evidence

I’ve listen to two episodes so far and I’ve only heard unsubstantiated Nutrition health claims. As a registered dietitian (the only legitimate nutrition expert qualification) I cannot endorse this podcast in any way. A podcast host is responsible for monitoring the answers that their guests provide and excluding information not based on scientific evidence. This information could be harmful to many people. Extremely unimpressed, I won’t be listening again, and recommend that no one else listen either.

Disappointed

I listened to the most recent interview with Gundry this morning and to be honest was a little in awe at how close minded and off course both the interviewer and interviewee could be. To provide an example, they say that eating bananas is bad because of the sugar but then say drinking alcohol, including liquor, and eating Quest protein bars is okay. Alcohol is something that is not even legal to consume until someone is 21. Quest protein bars are a completely manufactured food and are not the only option when traveling. I almost feel sorry for these two people - they seem to have a distorted view of what people should and should not eat. And then to be acting like an authority on the subject... I hope people take this and other interviews on this podcast with a grain of salt.

Host- please listen more and ask less.

I was excited to listen to this podcast, but unfortunately couldn't make it past the 15 minute mark due to the host continually interrupting Amanda Chantal Bacon. It seems that as soon as she began to answer the hosts inquiry, she was interrupted to ask "clarifying questions" that likely would have been answered anyway. Also the hosts constant "yep" and "uh huh" and other affirmations during the guests answers detracted from what she was saying, and just felt like he was trying to insert himself into her narrative.
