The Modern Woodworkers Association is a place for the online woodworking community to reinforce our online connections and create personal ones in local gatherings in many regions across the country. It is a place for woodworkers of all skill levels from professional to hobbyist to be able to share knowledge and learn form one another. The name Modern Woodworkers Association does not come from the fact that we are powertool users or for that matter handtool users but instead that we have all found a new tool, the online community and the power of information.

Some one has got to say it.....

Guys, the audio quality! Some one was typing on a keyboard and it just about drowned out the vocal audio... The changes in volume and the lag in voices makes the show super hard to listen to. I don't know what to tell you to do differently, but everybody needs to be at a consistent volume, stop making all the background noises ( typing , pouring a beverage, thumping, scribbling ) while some one else is talking...... Or at least move the microphone away from the source. Chris seems to have a clean recording set up, but the rest of it is so hard to listen too, and I have to keep adjusting the volume in my vehicle that I usually can't finish an episode. When Asa was on the other night you guys mentioned using google hangout or something?? Maybe try a different way to record the show. It is really hard to listen to.

The content seems good enough, I mean if ya love woodworking any conversation about it is gonna be appealing to a dust and shavings maker, but its got to be pleasing to the ears.

Thank you!

Tom Iovino asked me, at WIA, how the Internet has for me affected woodworking, and while I can't remember exactly what I said, what I didn't say - and should have - is that the web facilitates a conversation amongst guys such as yourselves, from around the country, about all things woodworking on a regular basis. And, you invite others into the conversation, then share it free for anyone who wants to listen. How cool is that?!

great group of guys

Love listening!
