I like it!

I love Mike and Jack! They make the stories come alive! I need to remember not to listen when eating lunch though. 😂. I have to add that when Jack mentions “his girl” in the after show, I always think that he’s referring to Karen. Ha!

Overly dramatic, disrespectful

I love Sword & Scale and didn't really know how Monstruo would be different. After listening to a few episodes, I have to say it's different in a bad way. I really don't like how they take so much liberty in storytelling instead of presenting just the facts. These are real people and they treat the subject matter with disrespect. Why have multiple narrators either? This podcast is trying way too hard to be something edgy and it just comes across as tacky. I don't know what I.was expecting, but I don't like this. Maybe if it were pure fiction I would understand more, but I don't like how they use real people in their fictionalized interpretations.

Took Time to Like

The first time I listened I didn't care for it. I then gave it another try and really got into it. The writing is amazing in which it really describes in detail how the murderer must have felt doing their crimes. Everyone should give it a second chance in the way that you give a new album one when you really like the band. Just because it is so different from Sword and Scale doesn't mean it is not good.

The only thing that does bother me about the show is the name. Every time I hear it I think of Dr. Evil saying it with a maniacal laugh that follows.
