Description

These recordings are in depth studies of esoteric literature that we examine in our Saturday morning gatherings. Some of the books we explore are better known while others are obscure. All are rich with meaning giving us an opportunity to challenge ourselves to think in a new way. The force of understanding is created through flexibility.

Customer Reviews

Thank You so very much!

Another great addition to the huge effort that James Parkinson has made for the podcast community. I hadn't known of the book "House on the Rock" before listening to this podcast, but since have found the book and have been reading it along with the weekly listenings. Wow, what an illuminating work! And if you find this podcast helpful, check out James World Phat and Lite... I sincerely love these podcasts and hope you will find them helpful too.

Fascinating Stuff

House on the Rock is an amazing book. These are great recordings! The stuff Brian Cleeve brings up is thought provoking! Thank you Brian for having the courage to publish this work!

New Ideas

I am grateful for having "The House on the Rock " brought to my attention. Why? Because it presents me with ideas that challenge my accepted and otherwise unknown, below the radar, points of view. Was it Socrates that said "know thyself"? It seems that one way in which I have come to know myself is when I am presented with new ideas and they conflict with these acquired, accepted, unthought of attitudes and just plane old mechanical habits and ways of being. If I wish to become myself and not just a carbon copy of my parents, teachers, movies, friends, magazines, books, these ideas I call myself must be challenged. This cannot happen unless they first come to light. This is not to say listen to "House on the Rock" and swallow it too, just as has been done with all the other things in life. It can be very interesting to observe what has been accepted inside oneself as oneself without even examining it to see if it is something wanted. Verify it for yourself.
