Intelligent commentary

A good 4 member band with 3 guys and a woman for a bit of balance. The diversity of the panel provides interesting discussions. Among its strengths is an educated approach to the subject matter that is not pretentious. It's weakness (as with many podcasts) is when the discussion crashes through the risqué zone into crudity and the singular woman gets quiet. That quietness is the silence of the canary in the mine, a danger signal that the wrong note is being struck, a signal the male panelists sometimes miss. And that is the point at which I begin to lose patience. I can get that kind of dialog in the Comments on YouTube, I need more from a podcast. That said, the episodes have been entertaining and enlightening. The band is generally hitting the right notes and I think the members are finding their voices.

Worth the listen

Stumbled upon these guys when they did Lunchtime Movie Review. After that podcast shut down, was disappointed. Then I read on Facebook that they went off and started another podcast. Not as funny as Lunchtime Movie, but still an enjoyable listen for any movie fan. For those who followed Lunchtime, this podcast is more serious and is more a critical review of films.
