Description

The show that gave rise to Simply Syndicated, Movies You Should See is at the heart of the network. This is no high-brow affair; it's what you get when a group of friends with different tastes in film gather in front of microphones to discuss, debate, dissect and devour movies for your delectation. From the gooey Ghost to the masterful Three Colours Trilogy, the crew leave no stone unturned across the genres and put each other through sometimes tough challenges. Disagreement, salty language and a heavy dose of irreverent humour might belie the passion for film and genuine pathos, but it's all there.

Customer Reviews

It's oddly addictive

At first, you think it's going to be just one more movie talk program. Then you listen and discover that the hosts of this podcast are a compelling cast all to themselves. Excellent listening, very funny; highly recommended. (Bonus = free British slang to use in your own worldly conversations.)

How do you say "boring" in British?

I try to give new podcasts a few chances to interest me. The first one I listened to, they weren't very impressed with Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront (what!?). The second one was about The Mask (snore...). The last straw was one about Bill Paxton (why?). Now, the these three subjects were pretty lame to begin with. But the three hosts barely stayed on topic. When they did get to the matter at hand, you could tell they didn't prepare before they started recording (in fact, I think they were doing Google searches on air). Jokes were lame or worse. Oh, it also ran way too long, maybe they should try about 20-30 minutes if they could actually bring something interesting to the show.

Complete Garbage

If you want to hear a 'review' of a film where the film is rarely discussed, this is the podcast for you. It's a complete waste of time to listen to these pre-pubescents who feel the need to curse to feel cool. If that's all it took to make this entertaining!
