||Explicit(18)Lindy of A Linderella Story||Thank you so much for tuning into episode 18 of the podcast! I am so excited you're here. I met Lindy through the internet which is how I've met a lot of people lately. I really do think platforms like Instagram are a gift because it allows me to connect with people I normally wouldn't even come into contact with. It feels good to turn an interaction on the internet into something that is real and tangible. And because of Instagram I was connected with today's podcast guest. Lindy has a blog called A Linderella Story where she shares stories of the humans behind super cool brands and creative projects. Just like I use podcasting as a way of connecting with people, she uses writing as a way of connecting with people. In our conversation we talk about her journey into starting her blog, writer's and creative blocks, our interview processes and more. Lindy cares deeply about supporting women and the creatives in our community so I think you'll fall in love with her right away. So, enjoy our conversation and if it does resonate with you please consider sharing it with a friend. ||Explicit(16) Samantha Walters, Founder of She Collective||I chatted with Sam from She Collective just a few days after Kavanaugh was appointed and this episode comes out soon after the Trump administration announced that it is working towards defining transgender people out of existence. So I am feeling the pull to use this platform to talk about some of the pressing issues we are facing as humans. I love talking to creatives about their businesses but I am also starting to wonder about how things like creativity, intersectional feminism, inspiration, anti-racism, wellness, entrepreneurship and activism are intertwined. And how do we make things like women's health and self care accessible to a wider range of people? I think this episode is a good place to start. I sat down with Sam and we talked about what is inspiring her, how to maintain momentum as an activist, her journey as a doula and lactation consultant and why she felt the need to provide a space that became the She Collective. Among other things, Sam talked about how human to human work is what is important right now and how leveraging privilege is harmful. So I hope you enjoy this episode and thank you so much for tuning in. Check out this blog post on the She Collective website about why trans, non-binary & gender non-conforming folks are welcome at She Collective: http://knowingshe.com/2017/11/12/3-reasons-trans-nonbinary-gender-nonconforming-folks-welcome-she-collective/ Connect with She Collective: Instagram: @knowingshe Facebook: (search) She Collective Website: www.knowingshe.com Connect with me: Instagram: @museroompodcast Secret Facebook group: (search) Muse Room Club E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org If this episode resonated with you please consider sharing, hitting the subscribe button, rating or leaving a review. ||Explicit(10) Stephanie Sheldon, founder of Indie Foundry, The Cleveland Flea and Our Creative Clubhouse||I've been going to The Cleveland Flea for a few years now so I was so thrilled when I finally got a chance to sit down and chat with Stephanie. We met up at one of my favorite Cleveland coffee shops called Rising Star and sat outside on a picnic bench. I left the recording unedited so you may hear a dog bark, a new voice chime in or the buzz of a coffee grinder. I think all of these extra sounds will make you feel like you're sitting right there with us at that picnic bench. Stephanie was a great podcast guest. She filled me in on what her childhood was like, what pushed her into starting her own business, fear and how The Cleveland Flea got started. ||Explicit(9) Katie Kurtz, Founder of Soul Connect Movement, Certified Life Coach, Yoga Teacher||As soon as I met Katie I felt like I was in good hands. Soon after, she began to feel an unsettledness. This is a great podcast for anyone who wants to learn about Cleveland Area entrepeneurs. it does a great job of inspiring anyone that wants to take a chance and start something that can grow in the community. Especially creative young women that have fresh ideas.
