Inquisitively unique

It’s a rare thing to hear someone read a religious doctrine for the very first time. As a religious believer myself, I found this absolutely fascinating. In many ways it caused me to rethink things I may have taken for granted.

David asks straight-forward and honest questions as he reads, and manages to keep even the dull points entertaining. Knowing that I’d probably never sit down and read this book cover to cover, I truly enjoy learning about the Book of Mormon by listening to David read it aloud. I look forward to hearing more as they come.

A Fun Way to Read the Book of Mormon

I really didn’t have any interest in re-reading the BOM until I started listening to this podcast. I found myself talking to my iPod - “it’s Neee-fi…NEE-FI! And LAY-manites!” “Oooh, if you think that, wait until you see what comes next!”

And he notices things immediately that should be obvious to everyone but somehow no one ever thought of when we studied the Book of Mormon growing up - like how Nephi is such a GREAT impersonator that Laban’s servant doesn’t know he’s not Laban, not only that but even his BROTHERS don’t recognize him!
And why would an important genealogical history of the Jews be written in Egyptian?
I find it interesting what he notices immediately and what he gets wrong. (I keep wanting to be right next to him as he reads so I can tell him these things - I guess that’s why I keep talking to the iPod).
If you’ve ever wanted to read the Book of Mormon but didn’t find the time or motivation, I highly recommend this podcast. It’s interesting and entertaining. Five stars!

Deliciously entertaining

As a former Mormon who had no interest to ever read this book again it is awesome to hear it read from a non belieiver who has never read it before. Yes the stories are crazy! Yes there is a lot copied directly from the Bible! Yes its scary to think someone who believed this almost became president! Thank you sir for suffering through this trite for all of us.
