For the love of the game
This podcast features “actual play” Dungeons And Dragons 5th Edition Action with a bunch of guys who love the game! The podcast features a very natural feel similar to the Critical Role podcast.
On the spectrum of podcast productions - with one end of the continuum being heavily produced and edited, and the other end being a raw, natural feel — Natural Ones definitely has a natural feel. It feels like you’re literally at the table.
I recognize and appreciate the courage and dedication it takes to produce a D&D podcast. This podcast enters an already full pantheon of live play DND games ... Critical Role, Dice Camera Action and Sneak Attack to name a few. Some of those shows have amazing production value, celebrity power, and even corporate backing. This podcast, by contrast , feels like the games I used to play in the basement.
If I wished to change anything, it would be a greater awareness of the listener. There were background, on-mic conversations which detract from the story. There were tabletop miniatures at play — but no accommodation for those of us *not* able to see the tabletop.
Keep going! Keep playing the game you so clearly love. Thanks for bringing us along for the adventure!
