THIS NATURAL DISASTER *SAVED* MY LIFE

[PLEASE EXCUSE THE AGGRESSIVE NATURE OF THE 'ALL CAPS.' MY COMPUTER KEYBOARD IS BROKEN AND CAPS LOCK IS ETERNALLY ON. APPLE WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY SAY MY APPLE CARE HAS EXPIRED (DEBATABLE) AND THEY ARE TRYING TO EXTORT ME FOR $35 TO REMEDY. I AM NOT YELLING, JUST TALKING NORMALLY.] ANYWAYS, GROWING UP POOR IN RURAL ARIZONA I SPENT MY MISGUIDED YOUTH HUFFING GAS AND DRINKING GIN STOLEN FROM MY GRANDMOTHER. IT WASN'T UNTIL I WAS WELL INTO MY TWENTIES THAT ANY SORT OF CONNOISSEURSHIP ENTERED INTO MY ALCOHOLISM. MY GATEWAY BOTTLE WAS A BRANDY CALLED HPNOTIQ. UP TO THAT POINT I DIDN’T REALIZE THAT ALCOHOL COULD NOT ONLY GET YOU READY TO PARTY, BUT IT COULD ALSO HAVE EXQUISTE FLAVOR BOMBARDING YOUR TASTEBUDS LIKE SYMPHONY. EVENTUALLY I FOUND ‘NATURAL WINES’, MY NEW PASSION. MY SMALL TOWN DOES ::NOT:: CARRY SUCH THINGS SO I AM RELIANT ON PURCHASING ONLINE. NATURAL DISASTER PODCAST HAS BEEN A VITAL RESOURCE TO UNDERSTAND THE LINGO AND NUANCES OF THESE SPECIAL WINES. ADAM AND MARISA HAVE THE UNIQUE ABILITY TO MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE RIGHT THERE WITH THEM WHILE THEY HAVE INTRESTING DISCUSSIONS ABOUT WINE. THIS COULD BE RELATED TO THE POOR SOUND QUALITY THAT IS OCCASIONALLY PRESENT, BUT I FEEL THAT RUSTICNESS IS PART OF THE CHARM. THEY ARE ALSO BOTH VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND I HAVE LEARN TONS OF NEW INFORMATION ABOUT THE NATURAL WINE WORLD. “SAIGNÉE” IS ON THE SHORT LIST OF NAMES IF I EVER HAVE KIDS (BOY OR GIRL, I THINK WORKS BOTH WAYS). I DON’T REALLY UNDERSTAND THE OBSESSION WITH A CARTOON CALLED ‘RICK AND MORTY’, WHICH THEY NEVER FAIL TO DISCUSS IN AN EPISODE, BUT IF IT IS ANYTHING LIKE ANOTHER CARTOON I LOVE ... ‘THE RUGRATS’ ... IM SURE I WILL BE A FAN ONE DAY AS SOON AS I CAN FIND A DVD OF IT TO WATCH. SO WHAT I GUESS IM SAYING IS THAT NATURAL DISATERS IS PRETTY GREAT AND IF YOU LOVE NATURAL WINE LIKE ME YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PODCAST. MY FAVORITE NATTY WINE IS MARTHA STOUMEN’S ‘POST FLIRTATION’, WHICH I ONLY LEARNED FROM THIS PODCAST. I HAVE SIX CASES OF IT AND AM DRINKING IT QUICKLY BECAUSE I ONLY JUST LEARNED FROM ANOTHER EPISODE OF NATURAL DISASTERS (THANK YOU!!) THAT IT COULD GO BAD SINCE MY HOUSE IS A LITTLE WARM. MARTHA STOURMAN IS ALSO A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN, WHICH I WOULD NOT EXPECT FROM A WINEMAKER. PROBABLY A LOT OF BEAUTIFUL MEN MAKING WINE TOO, I JUST DONT KNOW SINCE I’M SO NEW TO IT ALL. ANYWAS I DIGRESS, LISTEN TO THIS POD! YOU’LL LOVE IT AND LEARN A LOT1 FIVE STARS OUT OF FIVE. - RON

Like Marissa on Instagram but not on this Podcast

I thought this would be a sure fire hit for me because I love Marissa’s Instagram stories, but she’s difficult to listen to on a podcast. There’s a lot of unnecessary shouting and interruptions. Her humor just doesn’t work in this format. It’s too bad because I was excited to learn more about natural wine.

Pure

I'm the spirit of all things natural, Adam delivers an unadulterated podcast in an almost garage like sound quality. This level of natural podcasting is rare to find on iTunes. In fact it's reminiscent of finding a dusty bottle of Gravner in your dads favorite wine shop. This is for anyone willing to forgo quality for authenticity...enjoy
